RIBBON CUTTING – A large number of people attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for Drs. Brock and Krista Martin on August 4 at the celebration of their opening Southern Chiropractic and Acupuncture at 159 Court Square. The Martins are fifth and sixth from the right end on the front row.

Southern Chiropractic and Acupuncture celebrated its move to the Huntingdon Court Square on August 4 with a ribbon cutting ceremony sponsored by the Carroll County Chamber of Commerce.

The husband and wife team of Drs. Brock and Krista Martin graduated from Logan University College of Chiropractic in Chesterfield, Missouri. Their first office opened July 1, 2012 on East Main Street.

Their new location is at 159 Court Square in the former optometrist Hugh Scarbrough building. They opened July 1 of this year there.

“We needed more space,” said the couple who are the parents of a son, Steele. “We love the Court Square area.”

The move provided more space for their equipment and examining rooms.

There are two other employees who assist in the business.

Shelby McGuesten works as a certified chiropractic therapy assistant. Offering weight loss advice is Lori Dillahunty.

The Martins also do physical examinations for persons who need a Department of Transportation certification to drive or operate heavy equipment.

A re-opening celebration was also held Saturday morning.
