On Monday, November 19, 2018 the Huntingdon Primary School second grade met with Jennifer Tyler from Tennessee Tech and Ollie the Otter to learn about seat belt safety, booster seat safety, proper seatbelt placement and construction zone safety.

The program was both educational and entertaining. Students were measured to see if they were 4'9" or greater, the required height in order to ride without a booster seat. Patrolman Shelton Moon, being the good sport that he is, showed the class that he is tall enough to ride without a booster seat.

Huntingdon Public Safety Director explained to the students that they would be given safety-coloring sheets to enter in a coloring competition. A winner will be selected from each room with the winner being presented a trophy by Mayor Dale Kelley. Contest winners will be announced within the next few weeks.
