County commissioners will be voting on nine resolutions during the January 14 meeting of the Carroll County Legislative Body, and one of those resolutions involves the purchase of vehicles for a local school.
The resolution calls for the purchase of two new vans to be used by Carroll Academy in Huntingdon.
According to the written resolution, $43,716 will be transferred from the Carroll Academy Reserve Account and transferred to an expenditure account for the purpose of buying the two vans.
Other resolutions to be considered by the Legislative Body include:
*A resolution to reappoint Willie Huffman and Bill Stoner to the Carroll County Airport Board with terms ending in January of 2023.
*A resolution to appoint Keith Priestly and reappoint Stacey McCaleb to the Health and Educational Facilities Board with terms ending in January 2023.
*A resolution to appoint Brent Dillahunty, Chad Pinson, and Mike Tate to the Carroll County Industrial Development Board with terms ending in January 2023.
*A resolution urging the Tennessee General Assembly to support restoration of a five percent commission to the Register of Deeds for collecting state taxes.
*A resolution to transfer $6,930 in insurance funds received as reimbursement for water damage sustained last year at the Carroll County Mayor’s Office from a insurance recovery account to a liability claim account.
*A resolution to transfer $56,663.51 from the fund balance account to various expenditure accounts in order to balance accounts in the 2018-19 budget.
*A resolution to transfer $17,562.97 in insurance money received as reimbursement for damage caused by lightning at the Carroll County Office Complex in September of last year. The funding will be transferred from an insurance recovery account to a liability claim account.
*A resolution to appoint Jesse Turner to the Carroll County Library Board with term ending in June of 2020.
