Carroll County E91 Board of Directors took care of several items of business during the December 18 meeting while attending the Christmas get-together at the Colonial Tea Room.

E911 Director Kristy Meggs presented a proposal that requested supplement pay for the Public Safety Answering Point (PSAP) dispatchers. The proposal passed that amended the budget to reflect a one-time $100 pay for five full-time dispatchers and a one-time $50 pay for nine part-time dispatchers.

A vote was taken on the 2019 paid holidays that will be allowed. Passage of the measure will allow employees the following days: New Year’s Day on January 1, Martin Luther King Day on January 21, President’s Day on February 18, Good Friday on April 19, Memorial Day on May 27, Independence Day on July 4, Labor Day on September 2, Veteran’s Day on November 11, Thanksgiving on November 28, 29 and Christmas on December 24 and 25.

The rules were suspended in order to elect officers from the board of directors. Andy Dickson was selected to serve as chairman while Willie Huffman was chosen as vice-chairman. Larry Elliott will serve as treasurer and Roger Christian will be the secretary.

The November minutes were amended to reflect that Roger Christian will be added to the FirstBank checking account and the Apex Bank CD’s instead of Larry Elliott.
