A McKenzie man convicted on child pornography charges was recently sentenced in U.S. District Court in Jackson.
Nathan Adams, 36, received 15 years in prison after pleading guilty to production and attempted production of child pornography during his trial back in August.
Adams was also given five years of supervised probation to be served following the completion of his prison sentence.
According to evidence presented in court, Adams recorded videos of a 13-year-old female minor in various stages of undress, including fully nude images, without the minor’s knowledge or consent.
Some of these videos were taken from outside the girls’ bedroom through a hole in the window blinds.
Adams also hid video recording devices inside the girls’ bedroom and/or bathroom.
Adams came under investigation after the teen’s mother discovered one of these devices and explicit videos of her daughter.
Officers with the McKenzie Police Department, Madison County Sheriff’s Department, and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) worked together in the investigation.
With the 15-year sentence, Adams received the mandatory minimum for these crimes.
